My groceries weigh more than 135#!

I'm sure this is fine for the folks who use a chair just for convenience when traveling, etc, but it would be totally useless for those of us who need transportation everyday.
I feel guilty about driving a smallish SUV, but if I don't have an adequate lift, I can't be as mobile as I need to be.
I'm surprised that Harmar is not making the trailer hitch lifts with the capacity to shield the electronics on the older model chairs. I was cautioned sternly DON'T get the bottom damp! The warranty will be voided. (I was in the mountains of VA with snow on the ground! My lift at the time was a heavy duty one that lifted me (and my spouse) into a full sized van. Getting to the van without making a splash either in the rain or snow was definitely trick for me. My husband's chair, about 4 years younger than mine, had a shield of sorts between the ground and the electronics.
Not only for wheel chairs.
I am looking into geting a lift for my Senior German Shepherd that can no longer get into the back of my SUV. This might be the perfect thing for him.
Great lift
We have two of these lifts and love them. We bought them for our daughter's wheelchair. She is 10 and has a Zippy wheelchair and it works wonders for it. We got the optional swing arm so that we can use the back hatch on both of our vehicles, I drive a Ford Freestyle and my husband an Expedition. If you are looking for an everday lift for your child's chair, this is the way to go.
